My background isn't a linear story (but whose is?)
In 2012, I unexpectedly lost my job and made a great big pivot out of Retail into the world of Recruiting.
The Recruiting industry is an amazing place to learn how the business of getting a job works. Most importantly, I learned what didn't work and where most job seekers commonly struggle in their search.
In 2017, I used everything I had learned about the business of getting a job (LinkedIn, personal branding, resumes, networking) and networked my way to an interview (and job offer) with Amazon. Today, I'm an L7 Head of Sales and Hiring Manager leading a Strategic Sales team within Amazon's fastest growing B2B organization, Amazon Business.
Over the past four years, I've had the honor to work with hundreds of job seekers on their job search strategy, resumes, and interview prep. I specialize in smart, simple resume and job search strategies that help return to work professionals and career pivoters (especially teachers) stand out from the crowd. A career pivoter isn't the obvious choice for a role, which is why I love this work - I wasn't the obvious choice more than once in my career and I know how it feels that you *know* you have what it takes and you just need someone to help you share that message effectively.
Outside of work, I'm a big outdoor enthusiast, beekeeper, novice crochet-er (this may not be a word), and spent over 18 months traveling the US in an RV with my husband and two kids. We now live in the Metro-Detroit area with our dog, Coco.
